Major structural repairs to a 9 storey steel framed building dating from the 1930's. Corrosion of the steel frame structure was causing the masonry and Portland Stone cladding to crack and fall away. This is a common problem with buildings of this type of construction and age and has earned its own soubriquet of Regents Street Disease.

We carried-out extensive opening-up and investigation works to determine the extent of the damage, and enable appropriate remedial details to be specified. The building remained occupied throughout the repair works, so special consideration was needed in respect of noise, dust and disturbance.
