This award winning Lottery funded project involved the remodelling and extension of a Victorian wash house building to form a Multi Activity centre for people aged 50 and over. New Horizons is a modern, lively, convivial centre where they celebrate age, stage and experience. The aim is to promote active lifestyles and independence, to provide new challenges, health support and the opportunity to make new acquaintances.

The original building had previously undergone alteration during the 1970's but remained unsuitable for the proposed on-going use. The existing spaces were opened up and a new entrance area, including a new staircase and lift was added within glass curtain walling.
