A new Craft Study Centre and gallery for the University of the Creative Arts, Farnham, comprising four separate galleries split over two levels, with offices, retail space, a photographic studio and archive rooms.
The building is situated on a sloping site adjacent to existing buildings, and careful consideration was given to the foundation design and construction sequencing to enable economic ground-bearing pad and strip footings to be specified, whilst minimising the extent of underpinning required to the existing foundations.
